COPPICING, FORESTRY & WOODLAND MANAGEMENT WORKS

As well as hedgelaying services and hedgerow creation (hedge planting) and restoration, we also carry out coppicing and wider woodland management and maintenance work, helping landowners manage woodland with benefit to biodiversity. We particularly focus our woodland management work on smaller woodlands or conservation projects.​

 

Celi has been working in coppicing and forestry since 2017 when they did a woodland apprenticeship at The Cherry Wood Project.​

 

Coppicing involves cutting trees such as hazel and other native species on a rotation, allowing them to regrow naturally. This creates a continuous supply of usable timber while also improving light levels and encouraging biodiversity on the woodland floor.​ ​

 

We offer practical woodland management including but not limited to:

• Alongside hedgelaying, hedgerow creation, tree planting contracting, gapping up.

 

​Our forestry and woodland services cover a wide range of practical land management tasks and general countryside maintenance. We work with nature-led approaches wherever possible, focusing on long-term health of the land rather than short-term clearance.​

 

We are available for both one-off projects and ongoing seasonal management work.​ Celi works with a small women lead team and we will consider work in the areas of Monmouthshire, Newport, Gloucestershire, north Somerset, South Wales, Forest of Dean and Bristol.​
